Inner Spark was born during the Covid-19 pandemic—a time when young people were facing unprecedented challenges. Many lacked access to resources, role models, and opportunities to build confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.

What began as a small response to a growing need has since become a nationwide movement—delivering personal development workshops to schools across the UK, especially in communities where support is most needed.

Our Vision

We envision a Britain where every young person can be the best they can be—confident, resilient, and ready to shape their future with purpose and kindness.

At Inner Spark, we believe every young person has a spark within—a unique potential waiting to be ignited. Through empowering workshops rooted in our SPARK model (Self-Awareness, Purpose, Awareness, Resilience, and Kindness), we help students develop the mindsets and life skills they need to thrive.

Inner Spark is proudly delivered and funded by the Goyal Foundation, alongside a growing community of funders and partners. Together, we’re working hand-in-hand with schools to reach and inspire one million students by 2030—because they are the future of our country.

The Need

Young people across the UK are facing growing challenges—from rising mental health needs to low confidence and disengagement.

Those from underrepresented backgrounds, particularly students on Free School Meals, are less likely to achieve strong GCSEs and more likely to face barriers to future opportunities.

That’s why life skills education matters. Traits like self-belief, motivation and emotional resilience are proven to improve attainment, wellbeing and engagement—helping every student become the best they can be.
